Annual Report 2018

ROS AGRO PLC (LSE: AGRO) announces the end of 2019 sowing campaign

04.07.19

On July, 1 Rusagro completed sowing season in all regions, including Primorsky Krai. In 2019 area of cultivated land gained 28 ths ha (+5%) and reached 586 ths ha. The growth is attributed to the purchase of the rights to rent 46 ths ha in the Saratov Region from Solnechnye Producty, which was partially compensated by exclusion of inefficient lands. For Rusagro’s crop structure in 2018-2019 refer to Table 1.

Area planted with grains and sugar beet remained at the level similar to the previous year and reached 253 and 88 ths ha respectively. Area planted with oil crops increased by 42 ths ha (+24%) to up to 213 ths ha. As the result of peas area drop, area cultivated with other crops decreased from 26 to 4 ths ha. Due to the growth of the land bank, area under fallow rose by 12 ths ha (+67 %) to up to 29 ths ha. For Rusagro’s cultivated area by key crops in 2018-2019 refer to Table 2.
