The Russian government has approved the development program of agriculture sector for 2013-2020
16.07.12On 13 July 2012 the Russian Government has approved the development program of agriculture sector for 2013-2020. According to this document the state support from the federal budget to the agricultural sector will be increased from 142 billion rubles in 2012 to 160 billion rubles in 2013 or on 12%. The total state support from the federal budget for a crop sector will reach more than 466 billion rubles and about 500 billion rubles in livestock sector. The government also plans to change the direct subsidization to support increasing agricultural yield with gradual annual increase from 15 billion rubles to 35 billion rubles.
Reacting to this information Maxim Basov the CEО of Rusagro Group of Companies said: “We are pleased that despite planned reduction of budget of Russian Federation the support of agricultural and food industries is increasing. We feel certain that these industries will continue to grow in Russian Federation”.
