Rusagro announces the end of oil crops processing season 2020/2021
14.09.21Rusagro announces the end of sunflower seeds and soybeans processing season 2020/2021 at four plants.
Sunflower processing season at Rusagro lasted from 23 September, 2020 to 3 September, 2021. During the season it processed 1,476 thousand tonnes of sunflower seeds (-5 % in comparison to the season 2019/2020), incl. 1,036 thousand tonnes since the beginning of this year (-5%), and produced 661 thousand tonnes of sunflower oil (-2 %), incl. 465 thousand tonnes in 2021 (-2%). Production of sunflower meal during the season reached 553 thousand tonnes (-8%), incl. 386 thousand tonnes since the start of 2021 (-9%). Decrease of processing volumes and oil and meal production is attributed to lower yield of sunflower seeds in the season 2020/2021.
Soy processing season at the Company lasted from 28 April, 2021 to 13 September, 2021. During the season it processed 38 thousand tonnes of soybeans, and produced 7 thousand tonnes of soy oil. Soy meal output for the reporting period accounted to 29 thousand tonnes. The plant didn’t operate in the season 2019/2020.
